The application
Jezz is a remake of the old classic game Jezzball, icondesign helped to make it refreshing, vibrant and delicious.
Animating the Jezzballs
Even though we usually just create flat graphics, we decided to make a few animations this time around. Below you see the two ball types from the game. 24 frames of animation was made for both balls.
The interface
Complete interface design. Here are some of the elements designed.
- All game menus, along with highscorelists and options
- Buttons and button glyphs
- Interface icons for life, time, score
- 24 frames of delicious ball animation
- Game area with detailed illustrations for balls bouncing off walls, selecting rows and much more

It was a pleasure working with Kevin Andersson of IconDesign. Starting with only a very rough description of the eventual game, he came up with ideas very quickly and was highly responsive to feedback, making the graphics and icons all fit with a sleek and very tidy design.
His suggestions for improvement were very welcome and made development much easier. I will look forward to working with him on future projects.
